Sherman’s Travel gave me a little contributor write up in their current issue this month. Shouts out to Julien Tomasello the Photo editor of ST for hooking me up! We’ve been working together for a couple years now previous at Out Mag now Sherman’s Travel. I’ve been shooting their Bring With Bring Back section for the last year or so.
The POP! Faces Series, in a nod to Richard Prince image repurposing, displays celebrity portraits mangled into distorted mini sculptures. This series comments on celebrity figuresā lack of control over their own public image and how their personalities are judged once they enter the public media sphere. Ones reputation becomes disposable and can be trashed one day and resurrected the next. In an internet age we are all becoming public figures and it is increasingly easy for others to distort how we are seen by the rest of the world.

Our POP! Faces series has won the APA (American Photographic Artist) contest for 2010. This is second year in a row we’ve won this award. Thanks a lot to APA for giving us this award. We really appreciated it!
Feld Hommes magazine has used our Lola series to accompany a fashion story in their latest issue! Love the magic marker type treatment. Check out the issue online here http://www.feldhommes.de/finale
